Get to Know Camden
Meet Camden Ryan, a remarkable eleven-year-old in the fifth grade who defies the odds with an incredible spirit and zest for life. Born prematurely at just 28 weeks, weighing a mere 2 pounds 13 ounces, Camden faced early challenges that shaped his unique journey.
At one month old, an MRI revealed brain damage, leading to a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy (CP), Cortical Visual Impairment, and Seizure Disorder. Despite these obstacles, Camden exudes resilience and a contagious joy that touches everyone around him. His limited mobility necessitates a wheelchair, and he communicates through expressions, smiles, cries, yells, and moments of serene silence.
Camden is not only a tenacious individual but also the proud older brother to Haven (eight years old) and Ronan (six years old). Family is everything to Camden, and he thrives on spending time with them, especially his "Crazy Dad." Music, the outdoors, and the thrill of adventure captivate Camden's heart; the faster, louder, and crazier, the better!
Silly, smart, and possessing a great sense of humor, Camden brings a unique light to every situation. His infectious smiles and laughter serve as a reminder to find joy in the little things and cherish each moment. Camden's journey teaches us that small successes are just as worthy of celebration as grand achievements.
As a Deerfield Beach native, Camden relies on the support and love of his community. He is a testament to the strength that can be found in unity, inspiring those around him to rally behind him on his extraordinary journey. Camden's story is a celebration of life, resilience, and the beauty of finding joy in every moment.
